Purple FTW! began in 2013 when, after watching a particularly ridiculous Minnesota Vikings’ loss, Andy recorded the first episode of the Purple FTW! podcast. Since then, Purple FTW! has developed a strong following on YouTube.
It started out as a joke that, “everyone’s middle name is Jerome” and, over time, it evolved into a nickname for fans of Purple FTW! So, if you are a fan of Purple FTW!, then you are a Jerome.
We have dubbed fans of Purple FTW! with the nickname Jerome. That makes our fan community the Jerome Army.
Andy and his staff reside in the great state of Minnesota. Through Purple FTW! we have been privileged to get to know Vikings fans from around the world.
Although there is a Jerome conspiracy theory that Producer Allie is actually just Andy's alter ego, she is a real person who has worked with Andy since 2017. Back in 2016 they met at Minnesota Vikings' training camp in Mankato and Andy hired her away from a Vikings blog site.
